Cancellation & Refund Policy
For The Lodge Corfu
We understand that plans can change. Our policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our small business, ensuring we can manage our limited inventory effectively.
1. Standard Cancellation Terms
More than 14 days before the scheduled check-in date (by 3:00 PM local time).
Refund: Full refund of any deposit or pre-payment.
Between 7 and 14 days before check-in.
Refund: The deposit or a pre-payment equivalent to one night’s stay will be retained as a cancellation fee. Any amount paid beyond this will be refunded.
- Late Cancellation / No-Show: Less than 7 days before check-in, or in case of a no-show.
- Refund: No refund. The guest is liable for the full cost of the reserved stay.
2. Non-Refundable Rate / Special Offers
Some promotional or discounted rates may be marked as “Non-Refundable.”
These bookings are typically cheaper but cannot be cancelled, amended, or refunded under any circumstances after payment is made.
This must be explicitly agreed to by the guest at the time of booking.
3. Early Departure
- Should a guest decide to leave earlier than their confirmed departure date, they are liable for the full amount of the original booking. No refund will be given for unused nights.
4. Modification of Booking
Subject to availability, changes to the dates of a stay (outside the non-refundable terms) are welcome and will not incur a fee if requested more than 14 days in advance.
Changes requested within 14 days will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking (subject to the fees above) and the creation of a new booking.
5. Force Majeure
- In the event of extraordinary circumstances beyond either party’s control that prevent the fulfillment of the contract (e.g., official government travel bans, severe natural disasters at the destination), we will offer:
A full credit voucher for a future stay (valid for 12-18 months), or
A full refund.
This does not cover general changes in personal circumstances, fear of travel, or common illness.
6. Our Right To Cancel
We reserve the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances (e.g., property damage, unforeseen maintenance, double booking due to system error).
In such a case, our liability will be limited to a full refund of all amounts paid. We will make every reasonable effort to assist the guest in finding alternative accommodation of a similar standard.
7. Processing Refunds
- All approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original method of payment. The time it appears in the guest’s account depends on their bank or card issuer.
